Investigation after woman suffers serious facial injuries in Weymouth

Police in Weymouth have launched a major investigation after putting up a cordon over the weekend.

It's after a woman suffered serious injuries to her face.

In a statement, officers said: "Dorset Police received a report at 7.25am on Sunday 13 April 2025 from the ambulance service requesting assistance at an address in King Street in Weymouth.

"A woman aged in her 50s was located with serious facial injuries.

"Following initial enquiries, a 43-year-old woman and a 55-year-old man – both from Weymouth – were arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

"They have been released on bail as further enquiries are carried out."
