Woman racially abused by man in Bournemouth park

The victim was walking with her granddaughter when it happened

A woman's been subjected to racial abuse by a man, as she walked through a Bournemouth park with her young granddaughter.

The incident happened just after 1.00pm on the Friday before last (10th January) in the Lower Gardens.

A man, who wasn't known to her, is alleged to have targeted her with racially aggravated abuse.

A CCTV image has been shared by police of a man police want to identify.

PC Samuel Burlton, of Dorset Police, said:

“We take all reports of hate crime very seriously and have been carrying out a number of enquiries into this incident.

“We are now in a position to release a CCTV image of a man we are looking to identify as part of our enquiries and I would urge anyone who recognises him to please contact us.”
