Woman charged over Bournemouth crash

A motorcyclist was left with serious injuries following the collision in March 2025

A 42-year-old woman from Bournemouth has been charged in relation to a crash that left a motorcyclist with life-threatening injuries.

The incident occurred on Wimborne Road in Winton at 1.18pm on 4th March 2025, involving a red Vauxhall Mokka and a red Triumph motorbike.

The motorbike rider, a man aged in his 60s from Bournemouth, was taken to hospital after sustaining life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the car was not seriously hurt in the collision.

Following police enquiries into the incident, the woman has been charged with causing serious injury by careless or inconsiderate driving and driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence.

She is due to appear at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 22nd January 2026 on these charges.
