Police ask for dashcam and CCTV footage following collision in Greenhill

Police are asking for witnesses to come forward after a teenage cyclist was reportedly hit by a car in Weymouth.

The collision is said to have happened at around 1.35pm on 29th December 2025 on Greenhill.

The cyclist was knocked from his bike and sustained minor injuries but did not need immediate medical care.

According to the police, the driver of the car involved did not stop at the scene.

The vehicle has been described as a grey or silver car with multiple marks and scratches.

Police investigation underway

Police Constable Chloe Seaward, of Weymouth police, is leading the investigation into this incident.

She is urging anyone who witnessed the crash or has dashcam and CCTV footage that could assist police to come forward.

“We are carrying out enquiries into this collision and I am keen to hear from any witnesses or anyone with information that might assist our investigation,” she said.

“I would also urge any motorists who were in the vicinity around the relevant time, as well as residents in the area with home CCTV, to please check their footage for anything that might assist us.”
