It happened yesterday
Officers are appealing for witnesses, or anyone with relevant dashcam footage, to come forward, after a fatal collision in Wareham.
At around 11.50pm yesterday (Sunday 11 October), a collision occurred, involving a red Citroen C1, on the A352 Wareham Road.
Emergency services attended and the driver of the Citroen, an 18 year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. His family has been informed.
Road closures were put in place, to allow the emergency services to respond and for an examination of the scene to be carried out.
Sergeant Leanne Howes, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “Our thoughts are with the family and loved ones of the man who sadly died in this incident.
“We are carrying out a detailed investigation, to establish the full circumstances of what happened and I am keen to speak with any witnesses, who have not already had contact with police.
“I would also urge any motorists with dashcam, who were in the vicinity at the time, to please check their footage for anything that might assist our inquiries.”
