Police in Weymouth have been on TV this morning (Friday 7th March) as part of their appeal for information into a serious assault.

A man suffered a fractured jaw, while another sustained a cut lip, ear laceration and forehead swelling, during a fight with a group of up to eight people in Westham Road last October.

Five local men have since been arrested on suspicion of GBH and assault occasioning ABH.

They all remain released under investigating while enquiries are ongoing.

But detectives are still looking to trace one man they'd like to speak to in connection with the incident - and appeared on the BBC's Crimewatch earlier today to help gather information.

DC Megan Matthews, of Dorset County CID, said: “We are still making efforts to identify the individual pictured in this CCTV and we are grateful to Crimewatch for allowing us to share our appeal.

“I would continue to ask anyone who recognises this man and has any information regarding his identity to please contact Dorset Police.”

If you can help with any details, you're asked to call 101, quoting reference number 55240165443.
