Southbourne and Poole Coastguard Rescue Teams were mobilised early on 9th May following reports of individuals possibly in the water near Bournemouth Pier.
The teams were tasked at 12:49am and arrived to find that an ambulance crew had already located one casualty.
Coastguard Rescue Officers assisted in safely transferring the individual to an awaiting ambulance.
While assessing the scene, a second casualty was swiftly identified in the water and successfully recovered.
This person was also transferred to another ambulance for further medical care.
Once both casualties were safely in the care of ambulance crews and no additional concerns were identified, coastguard teams concluded their operation and returned to station.
A spokesperson for Southbourne and Poole Coastguard said: “If you ever see someone in difficulty along the coast or in the sea, call 999 and ask for the Coastguard.”
