Two men have been arrested on suspicion of arson with the intent to endanger life after a fire at a flat in Bournemouth town centre last night (March 3).

Emergency services attended the scene in Beale Place, off Old Christchurch Road just after 9pm last night.

Neighbouring flats were evacuated and ten firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus tackled the blaze.

The fire was successfully extinguished, with the "stop" time recorded at 10.54pm

Police say the two men arrested, both aged 21 and from Poole remain in police custody.
