Three arrested after motorcyclist suffers life-threatening injuries in four-vehicle crash
Police appeal for witnesses following serious collision in New Milton
Three people have been arrested on suspicion of drug-driving after a motorcyclist suffered life-threatening injuries in a four-vehicle crash in New Milton.
Police are appealing for information following the collision, which happened on Ashley Road at the junction with Kings Road, Ashley, at about 5.30pm on Sunday, 20 September.
Four vehicles were involved: a Suzuki motorbike, a silver Vauxhall Vivaro, a grey Land Rover Evoque and a blue BMW estate.
The rider of the motorbike, a 32-year-old man from Christchurch, suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital, where he remains receiving treatment.
Officers are asking anyone who witnessed the collision, or who has dashcam footage of the incident or the vehicles in the area before the crash, to contact police online or by calling 101, quoting reference 44260460755.
Three people have been arrested in connection with the incident:
A 54-year-old man from the New Forest was arrested on suspicion of driving while unfit through drugs and causing serious injury by careless driving. He has been released under investigation.
A 21-year-old man from the New Forest was arrested on suspicion of driving while over the specified limit for a drug and causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He has been released on bail until 21 December.
A 55-year-old woman from the New Forest was arrested on suspicion of driving while unfit through drugs and causing serious injury by dangerous driving. She has been released on bail until 20 December.
