Two teenagers charged in connection with Weymouth assault
An 18 year old suffered a fractured skull, while another had facial injuries
Two teenagers have been charged in connection with an assault in Weymouth.
A 'disturbance' involving a group of people in St Edmund Street at around 1.00am last Saturday (15th February) saw an 18 year old man left with a fractured skull.
A second 18 year old also suffered facial injuries.
A 14 year old boy from Weymouth and a 17 year old boy from Ferndown have now been charged with wounding with intent, violent disorder and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
The 17 year old appeared at Poole Magistrates Court yesterday (Friday 21st February), with the 14 year old due to appear on Tuesday 11th March.
Two people - a 21 year old man from Weymouth, and a 17 year old boy from Christchurch - arrested on suspicion of GBH with intent remain on bail while enquiries are ongoing.
A 18 year old man and a 16 year old boy previously arrested have been released without charge and face no further action.
