Teenager hospitalised with life-threatening injuries after Poole crash

An appeal for witnesses has been launched after a serious crash in Poole.
Officers are also urging those with relevant dashcam footage to come forward as they investigate the incident.
Dorset Police received a report at 10.17pm on Wednesday 18 June 2025 of a collision involving a silver Volkswagen Golf and an electric-powered bicycle in Longfleet Road near the Shah of Persia pub.
Emergency services attended and the cyclist – a teenage boy – was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that are believed to be life-threatening.
A 'full investigation' is being carried out
Police Sergeant Mike Burt, of the Serious Injury Collision Investigation Team, said: “We are carrying out a full investigation into the circumstances of the collision.
“I would urge any witnesses to the incident, or the manner of both the driver and the cyclist prior to the collision, to please make contact with us.
“I would also like to hear from anyone who may have captured relevant dashcam footage.”
