Suspected unexploded ordnance found in River Stour near Wimborne

A suspected unexploded ordnance has been pulled out of the River Stour near Wimborne.

Police were called to the scene near Canford Magna at around 10:57am this morning after reports that a suspected ordnance had been found.

Bomb disposal experts were called to assess the device which according to reports was found by someone who was fishing.

A cordon was in place while the incident was dealt with.
