With colder temperatures approaching, plans are being made to assist those sleeping rough during the winter season.

Dorset Council has confirmed emergency cold weather provisions are set to be activated to provide necessary support.

Members of the public are encouraged to report anyone they see sleeping rough using the StreetLink service.

The emergency provisions will be available from 24th–28th December to offer temporary shelter during this period. If an emergency placement is needed, concerned individuals can contact the Out of Hours Service on 01305 221000.

These measures aim to ensure that vulnerable people facing extreme weather are provided with safe accommodations.
