Dorchester's Brewery Square will be transformed into a 1940s scene as the legendary Armour & Embarkation convoy arrives on Saturday, 20th June.

Visitors will have the unique experience of seeing a real Sherman tank parade down the public high street, providing an interactive glimpse into history.

The event promises a packed day of entertainment centred around the convoy's arrival, making it an ideal day trip for families and history enthusiasts.

The Military Vehicle Trust will display restored wartime vehicles from 11am to 5:30pm, giving attendees a chance to get up close and interact with historians.

Live music by The Decadettes will be featured from 1:30pm to 3:30pm, alongside a Junior Recruit Station offering craft activities for children.

The convoy's official entrance begins at 3:30pm with tanks on Weymouth Avenue, light military vehicles in the Square, and vintage motorbikes in Dray Horse Yard.

Charlotte Frampton, Brewery Square Centre Manager, said:

"The scale of this event is going to be breathtaking. When the convoy arrives you quite literally feel it in your chest. We’ve built a full day around the arrival, making it the ultimate day trip. Families can come down early, enjoy the live music, and get the absolute best view in town."
