Police appeal after reports of dangerous driving near Wimborne

Police are appealing for dashcam footage and witnesses after reports of dangerous driving involving a black Kia Sportage near Wimborne.

From 11.45am on 22nd December 2025, reports were made about the manner of the vehicle’s driving on the A35 Puddletown bypass and the A31.

Officers stopped the car on the Wimborne bypass.

A 68-year-old Hampshire woman was arrested on suspicion of a driving offence but has been released under investigation as enquiries continue.

Police Constable Kier Dagnall, from the Roads Policing Team, said: “There were a number of people out on the roads who may have witnessed the manner of driving of this vehicle.

“I would ask anyone who saw what happened, or may have captured any relevant dashcam footage, to please get in touch.”
