Dorset Police are appealing for information as they continue investigations into a serious crash near Sherborne.

The collision involved a white Range Rover and a blue Renault Clio. It was reported at 9.13pm on 18th December 2025 and occurred on the A30 between Castle Town Way and Oborne Road, east of Sherborne.

Emergency services attended the scene, and the road was closed to allow for their response.

A man and woman, both aged in their 30s, and two children aged seven and nine were taken to hospital with serious injuries. The two children have since been discharged.

A man in his forties from Yeovil was arrested on suspicion of driving offences but was taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be serious. He has since been de-arrested and is assisting officers with their inquiries.

Police ask for dashcam footage

Sergeant Leanne Howes, from Dorset Police’s Serious Collisions Investigation Team, said investigations suggest a light-coloured vehicle may have been present at the time but did not remain at the scene.

“We would urge anyone who was travelling in the area and in the direction of Milborne Port around the time of the collision to please review any dashcam footage to see if they have captured anything that might assist our inquiries,” Sergeant Howes said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police.
