People are being asked for their views on plans for a new air ambulance base in Yeovil.

Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance has launched a public consultation on the proposed development at the Leonardo Helicopters site.

The charity is holding a drop-in event next week and is asking for feedback online, by email, or by post before a planning application is submitted.

The organisation said, the plans were: "Designed to support the long-term resilience, efficiency and clinical effectiveness of its life-saving service, the proposed development will offer excellent facilities for air ambulance deployment, purpose-built spaces for clinical training, operational planning, patient and family aftercare, and access for community engagement."

The meeting is set to take place on June 2nd at The Parish Suite at Westlands Entertainment Centre, Yeovil between 4-7pm.
