Fire crews tackle commercial building blaze in Holton Heath

Firefighters are currently at the scene of a large fire at a commercial premises on the Holton Heath Trading Estate in Poole.

Emergency services were called to the incident shortly before 8am, following reports of a building alight on Holton Road.

Six fire engines were mobilised to the scene — two from Poole, along with crews from Hamworthy, Westbourne, Redhill Park, and Springbourne.

An aerial ladder platform (ALP) from Westbourne also attended to assist with firefighting operations.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used multiple hose reel jets and main lines to bring the blaze under control. T

he majority of the fire has now been extinguished, and crews are currently damping down remaining hot spots.

All persons have been accounted for, and no casualties have been reported.

Access to the area around Holton Heath Trading Park, Unit 10, Holton Road (BH16 6LG) is currently restricted due to the number of emergency vehicles on site.

Members of the public are being asked to avoid the area while the incident is ongoing.
