Police investigation after serious sexual assault in Weymouth

Police are appealing for information after a woman in her 20s was reportedly raped in New Street, Weymouth late on Monday.
The report was received by Dorset Police at 10.46pm on 31st August 2026.
Officers have begun extensive enquiries to determine the circumstances around the incident.
The victim is being supported by police as the investigation continues.
A cordon has been placed at the scene to facilitate detailed investigative work.
No arrests have been made at this time.
