Police investigating after vehicles and trailers stolen from North Dorset farm

The theft took place at a farm in Stalbridge, between 10pm on Saturday (November 8), and 7am on Sunday (November 9).

Police are investigating a high-value theft from a farm in North Dorset, and are asking witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

The incident took place at a farm in Stalbridge, overnight between 10pm on Saturday, 8th November, and 7am on Sunday, 9th November 2025.

Two vehicles and two trailers were stolen, including a Land Rover Defender 90, a Mitsubishi L200, an Ifor Williams 3SB triple axle livestock trailer, and an Ifor Williams 2SB double axle livestock trailer.

Police said the Land Rover was later recovered in Odcombe in Somerset.

Police are urging anyone who may have seen anything suspicious or who may have information related to the theft to come forward.

Police Constable Sebastian Haggett, of the Rural Crime Team, said: “This incident has resulted in a significant loss for the victim and we are doing all we can to find those responsible.

“I am appealing to anyone who was travelling in the area overnight on Saturday 8 November 2025 with a dashcam fitted to please check their footage for anything of relevance.

“I am issuing an image of the outstanding stolen vehicle and would urge anyone who has seen one matching the description to please come forward. The vehicle may be parked up in a quiet or residential road.

“Similarly, I am also keen to hear from anyone who may have information about the stolen trailers for sale in unusual circumstances.”
