Police are investigating reports of a robbery in Boscombe.

Detectives say it happened at around 3.30pm on Friday 24 October 2025 near to the owl mural in Ashley Road.

It is reported a man aged in his 40s was assaulted by a group of four men described as aged in their 30s and wearing grey tracksuits. His phone was stolen during the incident.

The victim sustained two black eyes and significant facial swelling.

Police Constable Francis Thorneycroft, of BCP Volume Crime Team, said: “This would have been very distressing for the victim and we are carrying out enquiries into what happened.

“I would ask anyone who was in the area and saw what happened, and has not already spoken to police, to please come forward.”
