Four-month-old puppy reportedly stolen near Bridport

Dorset Police are investigating the reported theft of a puppy from a home near Bridport.
The four-month-old terrier, named Bonita, is believed to have been taken from a property in Moorbath between 11am and 1.30pm on Sunday, 12th July 2026.
A maroon-coloured hatchback was spotted in the vicinity around the time of the incident, according to witnesses.
Police Constable Seb Haggett from the Rural Crime Team has called for public assistance in the investigation.
"We are carrying out a full investigation into this incident and I am appealing to anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area around the relevant time to please contact us," PC Haggett said.
He emphasised the importance of gathering dashcam footage that might be relevant to the case.
Authorities have also issued an image of Bonita and urge anyone who finds a similar-looking puppy to get in touch.
