Police appeal for witnesses following assault in Shaftesbury

A teenager was assaulted by another teenager on Thursday evening.

Police are appealing for witnesses after an assault took place in Shaftesbury on Thursday evening.

At around 7.40pm on Mampitts Lane, a teenage boy was assaulted by another teenager known to him.

The suspect reportedly then left the area in a red Audi A3. The boy suffered minor facial injuries.

Police Constable Allannah Clark, of Dorset Police, said: “We are carrying out an investigation into this incident and I am keen to hear from any witnesses or anyone with information."

“I am also urging any motorists who were in the area around the relevant time to please check their dashcam footage for anything that might assist our enquiries.”
