Police appeal after report of assault in Bournemouth

Dorset Police are appealing for information to identify the victim of a reported assault in Bournemouth.

The force received a report at around 11am on Wednesday April 2nd from a third party who witnessed a man acting aggressively in the area of Seamoor Road in Westbourne.

Officers attended to carry out enquiries, however it was reported that the victim had left the scene.

The suspect, a man aged in his 40s, was spoken to at the scene and his details were taken.

Police Constable Michael Wells, of Dorset Police, said “We are carrying out enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this incident and we are keen to identify the elderly man who was reportedly kicked and punched, so we can take his account of what happened.

“I would urge anyone with information that might assist our investigation to please contact us.”
