Police appeal after dangerous driving incident in Purbeck

Police are looking to identify a driver after a dangerous incident in Purbeck.

On Friday 30 January 2026 at around 11pm a silver BMW was reported to have been driven dangerously along the High Street and surrounding area in Swanage.

No one was injured but it is alleged the driver subsequently produced a knife and made threats.

Police Constable Tom Rennie, of Purbeck police, said: “I am appealing to anyone who may have been in the area and saw what happened or has relevant dashcam footage to please get in touch.

“We believe there was a large number of people in the area at the time and would like to hear from you if you have any information.”
