People in Weymouth urged to keep windows and doors closed after skip fire

People in Weymouth have been urged to keep their windows and doors closed after a skip fire at an industrial park.

Firefighters are tackling the fire at Granby Industrial Estate in Albany Road.

In a statement Weymouth Fire Station said: "We are currently dealing with a skip fire at Granby Industrial Estate, Chickerell.

"This has caused a lot of smoke, so please keep doors/windows closed as a precaution if you’re in the immediate area."

Dorset Police said they were also called to the scene at around 2.22pm and are assisting the fire service.
