'No suspicious circumstances' after body found in Bournemouth pond

Dorset Police have shared an update on an incident in Littledown

Detectives in Bournemouth investigating after a man's body was discovered in a pond say they now believe there were no suspicious circumstances.

The discovery was made in the Littledown area on March 24th.

The body's now been formally identified as 55 year old Richad Bentley, who'd been reported missing in November last year.

We're told officers have updated his family and friends and their thoughts remain with them through this very sad time.

His death was initially treated as unexplained, but enquiries have led police to believe it isn't suspicious.

A 24 year old man from Bournemouth, arrested on suspicion of murder, with face no further police action.

Dorset Police will continue enquiries on behalf of the coroner.
