Murder investigation opened in Poole after 18-year-old's death

A murder investigation has been opened in Poole after the death of an 18-year-old man.

He was found with suspected stab wounds in Longfleet Road around 2:15am on Friday 19 June.

The victim was pronounced dead a short time after being taken to hospital.

Dorset Police believe he may have been injured in Dale Close, and driven to Longfleet Road.

A cordon remains in place on Dale Close.

Detective Superintendent Neil Third, investigating, said: "We are working at pace to determine the full circumstances of what has happened.

“I would ask anyone who has witnessed anything suspicious in Dale Close or Longfleet Road in the early hours of Friday 19 June 2026 to please get in touch.

“If any residents or motorists have captured anything of relevance on either home CCTV or dashcam footage, please come forward.

“There will be a heightened police presence in the area while our enquiries are carried out and we would encourage anyone with information or concerns to please speak with us.”
