Thompson F I T Limited has submitted plans to transform two listed buildings on Market Street in Poole into five-bedroom family homes.

The buildings, located at 18 and 20 Market Street, are currently offices but could soon become residential homes if the proposal is approved.

Each structure stands three storeys high, with number 20 recognized as Grade II* and number 18 as Grade II listed.

Both buildings are currently linked internally due to a wall removal aimed at consolidating them into a single commercial unit.

The proposed plans include minor works to reinstate the buildings as separate entities.

The site will maintain its current offering of five parking spaces without plans for additional spaces.

A prior proposal aiming to convert number 18 into a retail unit and number 20 into a residential property with added features was denied in June 2025, following concerns over harm to heritage assets.

The current plans are under public consultation until 12th April 2026.

Following the conclusion of the consultation period, planning officers are expected to make a decision on the future of the proposal.
