Marcos Senesi to leave Bournemouth
The centre-back's departure marks the end of a significant four-year period on the south coast
AFC Bournemouth has announced that Marcos Senesi will leave the club this summer when his contract expires.
The centre-back's departure marks the end of a significant four-year period on the south coast.
Senesi arrived from Feyenoord in 2022 and became a key figure in one of the most successful eras in the club’s history.
He has made 124 appearances for Bournemouth, contributing to their stability in the Premier League.
During the club’s notable 2024/2025 campaign, Senesi played a vital role, helping the team achieve a record points tally of 56 and securing a ninth-place finish in the Premier League.
The defender has scored essential goals in victories over teams such as Manchester United, Crystal Palace, and Brighton & Hove Albion.
He has further been instrumental in maintaining 11 clean sheets this season.
"From the first day I arrived, I felt at home at this club," Senesi said to afcb.co.uk.
"I’m proud of everything we achieved over the last four years, and I’m grateful for the support the fans have always given me."
AFC Bournemouth will celebrate Senesi’s contributions at the Vitality Stadium after the final home game of the season against Manchester City.
