Man sentenced after manslaughter of Bournemouth man

A man has been sentenced, after being found guilty of the manslaughter of a man from Bournemouth.
It happened in Burley, in Wharfedale, West Yorkshire.
Mason Jones, aged 30, died after he was stabbed in the stomach, shortly before 10am on Sunday 1 March, on Iron Row, which is just off Main Street, in Menston. Mason, who was from Bournemouth, died in hospital later that afternoon.
Today (25 September), John Robinson aged 30, of Derry Hill, Menston, was cleared of murder but convicted by a jury of the manslaughter of Mason Jones. He was also found guilty of possession of a bladed article in a public place.
The court heard how a woman had asked Robinson to attend the property, after there had been an argument. Robinson armed himself with a knife and stabbed Mason in the stomach.
Robinson was sentenced this afternoon, to 17 years in jail.
