Man in his 80s dies following Bournemouth crash as police appeal for information

A pedestrian who was hit by a car in Bournemouth has died in hospital.

The man, who was in his 80s, was struck on Belle Vue Road at around 5.30pm on Tuesday 11th August.

The crash involved a silver Honda Jazz.

He was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and died on Monday, 24th August.

His family are aware.

Dorset Police are continuing to investigate what happened.

Police Sergeant Mike Burt, of the Serious Collision Investigation Team, said: "First and foremost, our thoughts are with the loved ones of the man who sadly died following this collision.

"We are continuing to investigate the circumstances of what happened and would ask anyone who may have information or footage to help our enquiries to please get in touch if you have not already spoken to officers."
