Man dies in Bournemouth street

A man in his 20s has died in Bournemouth.

Police say officers they responded to reports a man needed medical attention on Bath Road at around 3.30pm this afternoon (Monday 31st March).

Officers attended to assist the ambulance service.

Very sadly, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Emergency services remained there, close to the Royal Bath Hotel, while enquiries were carried out.

His next of kin is aware and HM Coroner has been notified and police say his death is not being treated as suspicious.

In a statement Dorset Police say: "Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died at this difficult time."
