A man, who was convicted of attempted murder in Dorset, has been charged with absconding from a prison in Cheshire.

Kieran Cameron was arrested by officers from Cheshire Police in the Hulme area of Manchester on Thursday 8 January.

The 43 year-old has since been charged with escaping lawful custody and threats to damage/ destroy property.

Cameron appeared at Warrington Magistrates Court on Saturday 10 January where he was remanded in custody.

He is next set to appear at Chester Crown Court on Monday 9 February 2026.
