Man assaulted by three men in Bournemouth

A man in his 20s has been assaulted by three men in Bournemouth, with two people since arrested.

The victim was attacked by another man in King John Avenue at around 2.30pm last Thursday (20th February).

Another male suspect arrived on the scene during the incident, in possession of a knife, and made threats towards the victim.

As they left towards Knights Road, a third man then got out of a green van and assaulted the man again.

Officers attending arrested a 19 year old man on suspicion of assault and intentional strangulation and a 45 year old man on suspicion of affray.

They've both been released on bail pending further enquiries.

The victim wasn't seriously hurt, and there's now an appeal for witnesses to contact police.

PC Lizzie Christie, of BCP CID, said: “We are continuing to investigate this incident, and I am keen to hear from anyone who was in the area and saw what happened.

“I would also urge any motorists who were in the vicinity, as well as residents with home CCTV systems or doorbell cameras, to please review their footage from around the relevant time to see if they have captured anything that might assist our enquiries.”
