Man arrested after serious assault in Bournemouth

Detectives investigating a reported serious assault in Bournemouth have made an arrest.

Dorset Police received a report at 12.30am on Tuesday 28 April 2026 that a man had been assaulted outside Barbara’s Bier Haus in Old Christchurch Road.

The 19-year-old victim was taken to hospital for treatment, where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

A 25-year-old man from Bournemouth was arrested on suspicion of assault by beating and affray. He has been released on bail while enquiries continue.

Detective Inspector Ian Allen, of Dorset Police, said: “Our investigation remains ongoing and we would urge any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please come forward.”
