Man arrested and taken to hospital with serious injuries after crash in Verwood

A man has been arrested and taken to hospital with serious injuries after a crash involving three cars in Verwood.
The collision, which happened around 5.40pm on 23rd December 2025, involved a black Mini Cooper, a black Vauxhall Corsa, and a BMW X3.
It took place on Ringwood Road near the junction with St Stephen’s Lane.
The driver of the Mini, a man in his 70s, was arrested on suspicion of a driving offence and subsequently taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries.
The female driver of the Vauxhall, who is in her 50s, sustained minor injuries, while the driver of the BMW was uninjured.
Police Sergeant Paul Hind, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “An investigation is underway to establish the full circumstances of the collision.
“I would urge anyone who was in the area and saw what happened, or may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage, to please come forward.”
