Investigation underway after burglary at Bournemouth home

Police say the suspect is described as a white man of stocky build

Police are investigating a burglary at a home in Bournemouth on Tuesday (January 27).

Between 3.30pm and 4.55pm entry was gained to an address in Wilfred Road, with items including jewellery, laptops, cash, a wallet, and bank cards, including a silver and diamond engagement ring reportedly stolen.

Police say following CCTV enquiries, the suspect is described as a white man of stocky build, wearing a dark-coloured hooded jacket and light-coloured trousers.

Police Constable Sarah Dutton, of Bournemouth Police, said: “We are carrying out a number of enquiries into this burglary and I am keen to hear from anyone with information that might assist our investigation.

“We would like to speak to anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area of Wilfred Road, Crabton Close, and Beechwood Avenue around the relevant time period, as well as anyone who may have captured relevant footage featuring a man matching the description given on home CCTV systems, doorbell cameras or dashcams.”
