Police say their investigation into the death of a man in his 60s in Bournemouth has now closed.
A 47-year-old man from Bournemouth was arrested on suspicion of murder, following the man's death at an address on Redhill Avenue in February last year (2025) and subsequently released under investigation.
In an update today (June 11) Dorset police said he has now been released and will face no further action after tests found the man's cause of death was not suspicious.
A spokesperson for the force said: "Following an extensive investigation, which has included detailed toxicological and pathological submissions a cause of death was established which has led to the conclusion of the criminal investigation. The arrested man has been released from under investigation and will face no further police action.
"The deceased man’s next of kin has been kept fully updated with developments throughout the investigation and our thoughts remain with his loved ones at this difficult time."
