Investigation after reports woman raped in Weymouth
Dorset Police were called to Gloucester Street at around 2.44am on Thursday
An investigation has begun after reports a woman was raped in Weymouth.
Dorset Police recieved a report that a woman aged in her 20s had been targeted in Gloucester Street at 2.44am on Thursdsay 18 June.
Detectives say extensive enquiries are underway into what happened and officers will be speaking to the victim and providing support.
A cordon has been put in place at the scene to allow for detailed investigative work to be carried out.
No arrests have been made at this time.
The force says there will be an increased police presence in the area and officers want to speak to anyone with any concerns or information.
