House burgled near Dorchester while woman was inside
A set of keys was taken in West Knighton
A man has allegedly forced his way into a woman's home during a burglary near Dorchester.
Police tell us it happened at around 6.30pm on Tuesday last week (21st January) when a man gained entry to an address in West Knighton
The victim was inside during the incident, with a set of keys stolen but no-one was hurt.
The suspect is described as:
- Wearing dark clothing
- Gloves
- Scarf
- Face covering
There's now an appeal for witnesses to contact police.
Detective Constable Liam Moss, of Dorset County CID, said: “Our investigation is continuing and a number of enquiries have been carried out so far, including an examination of the scene and house-to-house enquiries.
“I am appealing to anyone who saw or heard any suspicious activity in the village around the relevant timeframe to please get in touch.
“If you live in the area and have a doorbell or CCTV camera, I would ask you to please check your footage for anything of relevance.
“Officers from the local neighbourhood policing team can be approached by anyone with information or concerns.”
