Horse freed by West Dorset fire crews after being trapped for four hours
The animal's back legs became stuck after it fell through a wooden footbridge
And a horse has been rescued after falling through a footbridge in West Dorset and getting stuck for four hours.
Crews from Bridport and Weymouth Fire Stations were called after the horse's back legs became trapped.
The horse was eventually freed and suffered only minor cuts and bruises.
Crews say they initially set up a platform under the horse using hay bales and pallets to see if the horse could push itself up and out of the bridge.
But after multiple failed attempts, they finally decided to dismantle the bridge and lift the bridge up and over the horse.
They say it was a 'challenging incident' and thank the farmers, vet and horse owners for assisting them.
