A number of homes have been evacuated in Dorchester after reports of a gas leak.

Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service says four crews from Dorchester and Weymouth were called to High Street, Fordington, at 8.37am on Monday 29 June.

A 50 metre cordon was been put in place around the location where the leak was reported.

Engineers are on the scene, whilst Dorset Police are supporting the cordon and evacuation of properties.
