A Fire and Rescue Service is urging caution around flooded roads after two incidents of people becoming stranded in their vehicles yesterday (21/01).

Crews from Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service (DWFRS) were able to successfully execute rescue missions and no one was hurt.

The force of the water was enough to move a large van, underscoring the danger of driving into flood water.

The message to drivers is not to put ourselves at risk and to find alternative routes.

Further advice can be found on the DWFRS website.
