The collision occurred at approximately 03:50 and involved a car and a motorcycle.

Both directions of the road between the A3066 and the B3157 near Bridport have been closed.

Diversion Routes

To ease traffic, Dorset Police has established diversion routes using local roads.

Signs indicating the solid diamond diversion symbol should be followed.

Westbound traffic is advised to exit at the "East Road" roundabout with the B3162/A3066, taking the second exit towards "Town Centre" along the B3162.

Eastbound traffic should leave the A35 at the B3162 junction and proceed along the B3162 through Bridport.

Both routes will eventually re-join the A35 near Symondsbury.

Motorists affected by the closure should plan their journeys accordingly, considering alternative routes or delays.
