Five people have been arrested after a series of drugs raids in Weymouth.

Police have been tackling the supply of class A drugs in the town during a week long operation.

Three of those arrested have since been charged and been remanded in custody.

£3,000 in cash has also been seized along with more than 100 wraps of Class A drugs, which officers say have a significant street value.

A smaller amount of Class B and C drugs were seized too.

In a statement on social media, Weymouth Police said:

"This will no doubt make a dent in the drugs market locally and we will continue disrupting those intent on dealing drugs in our community to make it a hostile place for those individuals and use all tactics available to us to take these individuals off our streets and seize their cash and drugs."

We're asked to continue reporting suspected drug activity across Dorset.
