A driver has been rescued from their car after it became submerged in floodwater in the New Forest caused by Storm Bram.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service say at around 8am this morning (December 9) a member of the public rescued the driver at Moyles Court Ford, near Ringwood in Hampshire.
Their car had entered a flooded section of the road and became submerged, before being swept approximately 50 metres downstream.
Fire Crews arrived shortly after and conducted a medical assessment of the driver at the scene.
Police also cordoned off the area and closed the road for safety.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service are urging people not to drive through floodwater and are reminding people it may be deeper and faster than it looks.
Meanwhile, in North Dorset, Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue service confirmed a number of drivers have had to be rescued after several vehicles got stuck in flood water near Thornford.
In a post on Facebook they said: "Is it really worth the risk? Do you really need another expense to pay out for just before Christmas?? It doesn't take much water to ruin an engine.
"Please do not drive through flood water. This advice is for your own safety and remember, we won't be able to save your vehicle, only you."
