A winning £1m lottery ticket bought in the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole area is set to expire this weekend - after going unclaimed for nearly 6 months.

The National Lottery has launched a campaign to find the Dorset-based winner, fronted by former Bournemouth lottery winner Jamie Heavens.

The prize comes from the EuroMillions draw on 4th November last year, and the ticket-holder has until midnight on Sunday 3 May 2026 to claim it.

Andy Carter of Allwyn, the company that operates the National Lottery, said: "We are desperate to reunite the rightful winner with their prize.

"Think back to last winter - did you play the EuroMillions draw on Tuesday 4 November? Did you tuck a lucky pink ticket somewhere safe and forget about it?"

"“Our missing millionaire could be a local resident like Jamie or someone who was visiting the area at the time."

For every EuroMillions line played, players receive a "Millionaire Maker" code printed on their ticket.

If they find the winning "Millionaire Maker" code, players are told to call the National Lottery's phone number, or send them an email.

If no one claims the prize money, then the £1 million sum (plus interest) will go back towards National Lottery-funded projects across the country.

If no-one comes forward with the winning ticket before the prize claim deadline, then the prize money, plus all the interest it has generated, will go to help National Lottery-funded projects across the UK.
