Police are appealing for witnesses and any dashcam footage following a collision in West Dorset.

The incident took place at approximately 12.35pm on Sunday, 20th September 2026, on the A35 dual carriageway near Litton Cheney.

The collision involved a silver Ford KA and a vehicle that is described as similar to a dark-coloured Honda CR-V.

The Ford KA collided with the central reservation, although the driver did not sustain any injuries.

The driver of the second vehicle stopped to check their car but left without providing any details.

Police Constable Daniel Pidgeon, of West Dorset police, said: “I am appealing to any witnesses – or anyone who may have captured relevant dashcam footage – to please get in contact with us.

"I would also like to appeal to the driver of the Honda-style vehicle to come forward so we can take your account of what happened."

Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police.

Alternatively, people can share information anonymously with the independent charity Crimestoppers.
