Council backs plans to clamp down on holiday lets

BCP Council has backed plans to clamp down on short-term holiday lets to ease local housing pressures.

Councillors heard that platforms like Airbnb have over 2,000 listings locally, which they believe is fuelling the rise in homelessness.

The council will now use planning and environmental health powers to better regulate the properties.
